Berlin H3 Run #2294 – 46 Years of BH3 Saturday Ballbuster!
Fellow half minds,
two score six years ago, a group of British soldiers of 1 R IRISH met on a chilly and rainy Monday night to follow trail marks in Grunewald – and Berlin H3 was born! An occasion that needs celebrating with beer and a really long trail. Welcome to Berlin Hash’s Summer Ballbuster 2025. 🏀💨
The weather is already doing its part to reenact the circumstances of those first few trails in July of 1979. And who would your hares be if they’d let that opportunity pass by and just lay trail somewhere in Berlin, instead of taking you to the place where Berlin H3 had their first trails.
Without further ado, the more interesting parts of trail d’erections:
This trail will be longer than a regular Berlin Hash. It is a ballbuster, it’ll be upwards from 18 km. Yes, you may bring a backpack on trail. And trail sticks, but expect to be made fun of.
There should be a walkers option somewhere. Expect waiting times.
Start date and chalk talk is on Saturday, July 26, 1:45 pm.
Start location is at the parking lot by the bus stop H Am Postfenn.
There will be at least one drink stop halfway through.
There may be more (BYO) beer stops.
There will be swim stops.
There are no hills.
Boar and bug repellant advised.
Survivors may receive a patch. Captain says it’s “fun”, so it might contain some booty.
The hare is planning for the On After to be at Alte Liebe and may reserve a table.
